Map & Directions

The following is a list of all the airplane and train arrival stops in Berlin including detailed directions on how to reach our institute by public transportation. Tickets for public transportation can be purchased at any BVG (public transportation) counter or from the orange automats located in all subway stations (U-Bahn and S-Bahn). Bus drivers also sell tickets but are usually unable to give change for large notes. You will need the ticket Normaltarif AB which costs EUR 2,10.

Airport Tegel
Take bus # 109 or # X9 in the direction of Budapester Strasse and get off at subway station Jakob-Kaiser-Platz. Take the blue line U7 in the direction of Rudow until you reach the station Fehrbelliner Platz. Here you will change to the green line U3 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.

Airport Schönefeld
Take bus # 171 to the end. This will put you at the subway station Rudow. Take the blue line U7 about 25-30 minutes until you reach the station Fehrbelliner Platz. Here you will change to the green line U3 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.

Airport Tempelhof
Take subway line U6 in the direction of Tegel. Ride 1 station to Mehringdamm and change to line U7 in the direction of Rathaus Spandau. Ride 8 stations to Fehrbelliner Platz where you will change once more to the green line U3 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride seven stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.

Train Station Zoologischer Garten
Take the orange subway line U9 in the direction of Rathaus Steglitz. Ride 2 stops to Spichernstrasse and change to the green line U3 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.

Train Station Ostbahnhof
Take any of the subway lines S3, S5, S6, S7 or S9 to the station Zoologischer Garten and then follow the directions above.

Train Station Lichtenberg
Take subway line S5 or S7 to the station Zoologischer Garten and then follow the directions above.

From subway station Dahlem Dorf
When you exit the subway station, go to the bus stop just a little to the left of the circular flower-bed. Do not cross the street. Then take bus #X83 two stops to Arnimallee. (There is a gasoline station on one corner and a little yellow hut on the other). Please have a look at our plan above. The subway station Dahlem Dorf is at the left edge of this plan.

From S-Bahn station Botanischer Garten
When you exit the S-Bahn station, take a right at Enzianstraße until you cross Unter den Eichen: take a left. Take a right at Fabeckstraße. The third street on the right hand side is Arnimallee.
